The exact date of Sue and Nicks wedding at Lympne Castle was the 29th December, such a great time for a wedding as the decorations are already up! Obviously they added to these and the castle looked beautiful especially with the bright blue sky we were lucky enough to enjoy!
Sue and Nick contacted me quite late in the day but thankfully I was available to photograph their wedding as it was a really wonderful event and I love a winter wedding! Sue didn’t want any ‘getting ready’ photos so I started my coverage with Nick and the guests arriving at the castle, accompanied also for the second time this year by their toastmaster Peter Thompson, who is always brilliant at organising people!
Sue and Nick both have children of their own, I say children but ‘young adults’ is a term they’d probably prefer and is more appropriate, and they were obviously a big part of the day. Nick’s son Liam was his best man and his daughters, Maddy and Emma, were bridesmaids, along with Sue’s daughter Amy. Sue’s two sons, Marc and Ben should also get a mention as they obviously adore their mum and vice versa.
Plenty of love and sentiment was evident at this wedding and it was so touching to see how both families have joined in such support for the relationship that Sue and Nick now have together. The speeches were emotive, with tears in remembering Nicks father who unfortunately was no longer with them and then on the other side of the coin, laughter at stories delivered by the best man.
Laughter and astonishment was also in abundance as a result of the brilliance of the renowned magician Etienne Pradier. How this man steals watches like he does is just amazing!
Weddings are all about emotion and being thankful for the people you have in your life, especially the one you have chosen to spend yours with and it was so lovely to witness the Sue and Nick making that commitment to each other.
