The Secret Garden Wedding Photography – Rachel & Tony
It’s been almost a year since Rachel and Tony’s beautiful wedding at The Secret Garden last May. I’ll admit I’ve taken my foot off the pedal completely with blog posts, but I’ve been inspired by the sunshine, ( albeit fleeting!).
As soon as I met Rachel and Tony I knew wanted to photograph their wedding for them. Absolutely two of the loveliest people you could hope to meet. It turned out that we had a few connections as they live in the same village as me and Rachel used to babysit me and my sisters many years ago!
After the initial meeting they also had a pre wedding photoshoot with me. They had such a sense of fun and you could see how much love was between them which was even more evident on their wedding day.
It was a wedding day with plenty of emotion. Tears before, during and after the ceremony from adults and babies alike! It may sound corny but the older I get the more I realise that all that’s really important is love and I feel very lucky when I get the opportunity to witness and photograph this.
I had so much fun photographing this wedding, as not only was it a great crowd but The Secret Garden is one of my favourite venues. It doesn’t matter what time of year you have your wedding here, there’s always plenty of places for photos! Once the ceremony was over the pimms was poured and an afternoon of socialising began. Garden games and chilling in the sunshine whilst enjoying drinks and canapes, what could be better.
The speeches revealed Rachel and Tony’s many loves and talents, including Rachel’s love of chocolate and Tony’s dancing skills likened to an octopus falling out a tree. I’ve got to say, when I saw him on the dance floor he certainly dances like no one’s watching!
