Juliette and David decided their wedding would be a small civil ceremony and they would then have a wedding day celebration at Spring Grove, Kent later in the year where all their friends and family could celebrate with them. With some of Juliette’s family being French and living in France I guess it was a case of being able to get everyone together at the same time, but they managed it and it was the turnout they had hoped for.
As soon as I met them a couple of months before the day I hoped they would book me, two of the most unassuming and kind people you could meet, they put so much effort into providing a day that was not only exactly what they wanted but that would provide entertainment and a day for everyone of all ages.
Among other things there was a bouncy castle, a swimming pool, tennis, football, giant garden games, a band and even a crepe van laid on that did not stop for the whole time it was there. With plenty for everyone to do as well as eat and drink, adults and children were very happy, it was only the eating of crepes combined with more swimming that left a couple of little ones with tummy ache and tears.
With the speeches being really the only time everyone was sat down together it was a full on day for everyone, but even so, when the band started their evening set the dancing commenced in full force with children to grand parents strutting their stuff on the dance floor.
Juliette and David had asked me to simply capture the day as it happened which is what I did and it is what I love to do, it was such a pleasure not to have to be restricted by time as is the general case on a more traditional wedding day and so here are just a few of my favourites from one of the most enjoyable days I have photographed this year.
