The Old Brewery Store at Shepherd Neame Brewery
Lindsey & Liam’s wedding at The Old Brewery Store in Faversham Kent, took place in February. Thankfully before we had the snow and actually on one of the nicest days of the month! Their ceremony was held in the Visitor Centre, a 15th Century function room with exposed beams adorned with hops, of course!
Lindsey and Liam are a fantastic couple who clearly care greatly about each other. Spending a little time with them during their pre wedding photoshoot back in the autumn meant I was able to get to know them a little better before their wedding which is never a bad thing.
On the day of their wedding, The Sun Inn, just around the corner from the brewery, provided the accommodation for Lindsey to get ready. I spent a short time with her and her mum and bridesmaids before getting back to photograph Liam arriving in the classic blue camper van.
Faversham is a great little town and on Saturdays the market takes place in the high street, so there’s a always a number of spectators to greet the arriving brides and grooms. Liam had time for a quick drink and to say hello to friends and family in the bar area before the ceremony then everyone was ushered upstairs.
Lindsey looked beautiful, and when she walked up the aisle with her dad, Liam’s nerves of the previous few minutes looked to disappear when he saw her. There were a few tears from family members during the ceremony but only beaming smiles from Lindsey and Liam.
With the venue being a working brewery, some areas are off limits unless being escorted by a member of staff which is understandable. So after drinks in the bar everyone was escorted to the courtyard area for some group photos. It’s such an interesting venue that it’s nice to be able to have a look round but with it being cold it was important to photograph the groups quickly!
Food and speeches followed back at the visitor centre, and then it was time to enjoy the dancing and party!
I am lucky enough to photograph some wonderful weddings and Liam and Lindsey’s was yet another one. Thank you both for allowing me to be part of your day and I’d like to wish you many happy married years together!
