If you love the heat, wow what a beautiful summer for weddings we have had this year! 2018, the hottest on record and enough to melt the icing on the best of wedding cakes and make even the coolest of brides glow.
I’ve had some fabulous weddings to photograph this year and I shall be blogging a selection individually over the course of the next few months. In the meantime though I’ve put together a few from the summer to show I’m still here and busy doing the job I love!
I’ve returned to venues such as Eastwell Manor, Ratsbury Barn, The Crown Lodge in Wye and The Gardens in Yalding to name a few. While I have also had the pleasure of working at new venues for the first time such as The Ferry House Inn, Odo’s Barn and Grays Inn in London.
Once again though I can say hand on heart that every wedding I have photographed has shown the best in human nature. Love and kindness to one another always shines on a wedding day. The emotions run high and people recognise the importance of family and friends more than on any other occasion it seems. To be able to capture that is something quite special.
There have been many tender moments, funny moments and some amazing parties at the weddings I’ve photographed this year, and With still a few weddings to go, including a trip out to Castell D’Emporda, Girona, the fun continues for a few more weeks!
It won’t be long before we’re lighting a fire every night and it’s dark by 4pm and we’ll look back and wonder how it was ever so hot during those summer months of 2018!
