Despite having fewer weddings to photograph this year due to personal reasons, the ones I have done have been with the loveliest people I could have hoped for. As I’ve said before the The Secret Garden in Kent is one of my favourite wedding venues. When that’s matched up with two of the sweetest couples and their little dog, it’s always going to be an enjoyable day! Luna, their Jack Russell, is a big part of their lives and I absolutely love it when couples incorporate their dogs into their wedding, it results in some wonderful photos as they are never predictable.
Becca and Fred were married under the gazebo in the gardens of the The Secret Garden on a Tuesday in June of this year. The day was beautifully warm and sunny, just what they’d be hoping for as they had planned an outdoor ceremony followed by drinks and games in the garden. It was an intimate wedding with a guest list of around 20 people, which enabled them to have their wedding breakfast in the beautiful Glasshouse later on in the afternoon.
As you have probably worked out from looking at the website, the majority of my day is spent photographing the proceedings as they play out. Looking for moments that will spark a memory that creates a ‘feeling’ when the couple look back on them. I’m always happy for couples to suggest a couple of photos they would like as well, which is what Becca and Fred did with their photo in the lovely green sofa in the garden provided by the venue.
