Hythe Imperial Hotel wedding – Ann & Alan
“Absolutely amazing photographs, we asked Helen to take natural and casual shots of our families and guests, which she did and the photos have captured a happy family wedding day which will be remembered forever”. Ann & Alan
Back at the end of April this year I had the absolute pleasure of photographing the wedding of Ann and Alan at The Hythe Imperial Hotel.
They admit it themselves, they are no spring chickens! But you’d be mistaken if you thought their wedding would be on the quiet side, quite the opposite! These two, along with their family of a few generations, really knew how to enjoy themselves!
For me, the pure joy of the occasion really shone through which always makes my job easier. Although some of their respective family members hadn’t even met, you’d never have known it. Meeting and greeting each other in the bar, there was plenty of laughter and hugging going on.
The ceremony took place in the Elizabeth Room and although Alan did look a little nervous beforehand, these nerves appeared to dissipate when he saw Ann being walked down the aisle by her son.
When I met with Ann and Alan before their wedding day, they told me they wanted lots of natural moments photographed and just a few group photographs. This is music to my ears as that’s where the magic is. Those photographs that capture the life and spirit of the day and bring back a feeling you can remember.
I look at them now and remember the fun during the reception with the two singing waiters, I wanted to join that conga! They were so good. If ever you want there to be some great entertainment during your wedding breakfast do consider these two!
To sum up, all I’ll say is, whatever stage of life you’re at, nothing can beat the fun to be had at a wedding if you have a zest for life!
