Wedding Photography best Of 2021

Although weddings were certainly not back in full flow in 2021, it was a whole lot better than the previous year. Here are my choices for wedding photography best of 2021 !

At the start of 2021 I was still having couples either postponing or cancelling their weddings due to the constantly changing regulations and overall uncertainty. Finally in July I photographed my first wedding since October the previous year.

I thought I was going to feel like a duck out of water as it had been so long, but in fact it was fabulous! We are humans, and being all together with our family and friends to celebrate, for whatever reason, is one of life’s greatest pleasures for most of us. To be back amongst these celebrations, photographing the joy and emotions that come with these interactions was an amazing feeling. I’ve been a wedding photographer for 14 years and I wasn’t expecting to miss them like I did.

Being a wedding photographer I meet all sorts of people and often it is just on this one particular day. What I have learnt over the years though, is that although every wedding is in ways the same, it is also very unique. The wedding itself is the setting for a myriad of moments between people. These little interplays that people share are the memories made and it is those that I look for and aim to record as photographs.

At whatever period of time we look back on, a photograph will generally help you recall that time. Making photographs that mean something and spark those feelings is a goal I carry with me and strive to achieve constantly.
