Bennet & Joe’s Buxted Park Hotel Wedding Photography

I’d been to Buxted Park Hotel Wedding before to photograph the reception, so when Joe and Bennet asked if I’d photograph their wedding their in January I jumped at the chance! Knowing Bennet and her parents already and meeting Joe back in may the previous year, I knew it would be a fantastic day, I wasn’t wrong.

The day of their wedding was one of sunshine and brilliant blue sky, you couldn’t have wished for better weather, maybe just a few degrees warmer but it was January! On arriving at Buxted Park I went to find Bennet in her hotel room where she was waiting to have her make up done, she seemed totally relaxed which is exactly as you’d like the bride to be on the morning of her wedding!

Bennet has a lovely serene quality about her and such a kind nature, this and the sight of their daughter looking so beautiful in her wedding dress, I don’t think her parents could have been any prouder.

Joe in the meantime was downstairs keeping calm playing a game of snooker with Matt, his best man before the formalities began. Their ceremony took place in The Orangery and once everyone was seated we waited, and we waited and then we wondered what the hold up was. Turns out the registrar put the wrong date on the paperwork so had to rewrite it, an easy mistake to make early on in a new year.

Despite the blue sky, the temperature was bitter, but Joe and Bennet were still happy to have their group photos outside. This meant working as quickly as possible to ensure nobody ended up pneumonia, including me.

I think one of my favourite photographs from the day has to be Martin ( Bennet’s dad) giving the new Mr & Mrs Wright  3 cheers at the end of his speech, there is so much energy there, I love it!

Finally I just want to wish Bennet and Joe the very happiest future together and thank you for allowing me to photograph and be a part of your very special day.
